Why do you need Strength & Shield?

Why do you need Strength & Shield?

If you missed my blog post the other day on why I created Strength & Shield to begin with, definitely go check that out here first!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today I wanted to share with you a little bit about why we all need Strength & Shield and what makes it so unique. This daily formula is a helpful ally for restoring homeostasis in the body after prolonged periods of stress.
Hmmm...2020, anyone? (Surely I wasn't the only one feeling a bit stressed!)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This formula was specifically crafted for gentle, long term daily immune protection so its ingredients work a bit differently than those in our other tonics. Think of it like a slow cooker vs. an instant pot.
The ingredients in Strength & Shield work like a slow cooker for building strength reserves and achieving restoration while combatting the effects of stress, such as raised cortisol levels, anxiety, depression, and feeling just flat worn-out in general. Our bodies do know how to cope with stress, but prolonged periods of stress are extremely taxing on our minds, emotions, hormones, sleep, and every other aspect of our health!
In a nutshell, stress can be deadly. I know, crazy. There are many ways we can manage the stress in our lives when we can't always eradicate the sources of it completely. I'm going to touch more on this topic another day, but utilizing herbs in our diets is one way we can help bring our bodies back into a state of calm.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So let's talk about some of these helpful herbs, specifically the ones we chose for Strength & Shield, shall we?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Aronia berries- these tasty beauties have the highest antioxidant level of ANY berry worldwide! Antioxidants=cancer fighting and cell replenishing!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hibiscus Roselle- one of the best plant sources of vitamin C and anthocyanins, loads of potassium, calcium, iron, and magnesium and absolutely refreshing with their tart flavor!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Calendula Flowers- an anti-inflammatory flower that stimulates the lymph system and is used medicinally to treat seasonal depression, GERD, IBS, ulcerative colitis, ulcers, arthritis, poor digestion, tonsillitis, and swollen lymph nodes! (Of worthy note; this herb is not recommended for pregnant women as traditionally it has been used to bring on the menstrual cycle.)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Astragalus- an adaptogenic root used for centuries to help people with low energy, constant illness, edema, bloating, and weakness. (Adaptogens are herbs that balance the systems of the body, helping bring things back into balance safely and moderately.) In ancient herbal medicine, Astragalus is known as a “shield” of immune protection and also strengthens the lungs. One of the reasons I love astragalus is because it contains polysaccharides (the good stuff that feeds your gut microbiome) and gut health is paramount!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nettle- chock full of vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll, and iron, this “weed” is wonderful for aiding the body through challenging transitions and periods of extra workloads. Nettle is also a natural antihistamine, builds immune strength, and has been used to decrease gout and kidney-stone causing uric acid! Nettle is often used to help treat allergies, respiratory illness, and overall lethargy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I don't know many people who honestly can not use some of those health benefits in their life right now. Given the year we've all had, we all can!
